Theorem. Naturality of the fiber interaction [fdip-005Z]

Let \(b,b'\) be selected backgrounds with polynomial interactions \(\mathcal V,\mathcal V'\). Suppose a background arrow has vertex counting isometry \(U:H\to H'\) and satisfies \(\mathcal V'\circ U=\mathcal V\). Then the fiber interactions obey, to all formal orders, \[F_{b',\mathcal V'}(\lambda ,Ux) =F_{b,\mathcal V}(\lambda ,x)\qquad (x\in X).\] The assertion also holds for signed endpoint arrows. More generally, it holds for an orthogonal isomorphism \(O:H\to H'\) satisfying \[Q'=OQO^{-1},\qquad P'=OPO^{-1},\qquad \mathcal V'\circ O=\mathcal V,\] with \(Ox\) in place of \(Ux\). This latter statement uses the wider orthogonal comparison, which need not preserve incidence.

Each coefficient of \(F\) is therefore a polynomial transported by the same retained isometry. Its homogeneous parts correspond by polarization to symmetric tensors on \(X\). A background automorphism that also preserves \(\mathcal V\) fixes these polynomials and tensors; choosing coordinates only records their components. Arbitrary components need not be unchanged by an orthogonal change of basis. Likewise a graph symmetry need not preserve a supplied interaction. The invariance assertion uses both the background and interaction transport equations.
