Theorem. Reconstructing a skew Clifford lift in polar-dual coordinates [fcap-001Z]

Let \(K\) be a field in which \(2\) is invertible, \(V\) a finite-dimensional \(K\)-space, and \(Q\) a nondegenerate quadratic form. Write \(B_Q\) for its unhalved polar form. For a basis \((b_i)\) let \((d_i)\) be its \(B_Q\)-dual basis, and let \(f\in \mathfrak {so}(V,B_Q)\). The quadratic Clifford element \(z_f=\operatorname {soEquivQuadratic}(f)\) has the coordinate expression \[z_f=\frac 12\sum _i\beta _Q\bigl (f(b_i),d_i\bigr ),\] where \(\beta _Q(u,v)=\tfrac 12(\iota (u)\iota (v)-\iota (v)\iota (u))\) is the bivector normalization of Convention [fcap-000N].

[goodman2009symmetry, Definition 6.1.1(C1), p. 302] uses the complex Clifford relation \[\{\gamma (u),\gamma (v)\}=\beta (u,v)1.\] Thus their \(\beta \) is \(B_Q\), with \(Q(v)=\beta (v,v)/2\).

[goodman2009symmetry, Section 6.2.1, Lemmas 6.2.1--2 and (6.13), pp. 312--313] gives the complex, nondegenerate basis-free construction through \(R_{a,b}(x)=\beta (b,x)a-\beta (a,x)b\) and its half-commutator lift. The displayed polar-dual sum is the coordinate reconstruction; Tau Ceti proves it over the stated wider class of fields.
